Job Summary:

TAP Industrial Sales, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Manufacturers Representative or Manufacturers Rep Agency to join our team on a contract basis. This position is crucial for driving sales and building relationships with customers in various industries, including agriculture, energy, marine, construction, mining, and OEM manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in hydraulic rotary actuators, slew bearings, motion systems, and power transmission components and possess excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent TAP Industrial Sales’ product lines to both new and existing customers within designated territories.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions to inform customers about product specifications and applications.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking, cold calling, and industry events.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and sales teams to ensure accurate product representation and service delivery.
  • Prepare and submit sales reports and forecasts to management.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain up-to-date records in Odoo, including:
    • Updating CRM entries with customer interactions and sales activities.
    • Documenting meeting minutes and action items for internal and external meetings.
    • Managing and updating contact information for clients and prospects.
    • Inputting and tracking sales opportunities and status updates in Odoo to ensure visibility and follow-up.
Locations:

  • Many available across the USA, Canada, Central, and South America.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Manufacturers Representative or in a similar sales role within industrial sales.
  • Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic systems, rotary actuators, and related components.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong work ethic.
  • Familiarity with CRM software, preferably Odoo, and sales tracking tools.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to visit clients and attend trade shows.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • Relevant industry certifications are a plus.

Compensation:

  • Competitive commission-based compensation structure.
